Grey Pearl studio - behind the scene and the site
All of Grey Pearl studio's keywords start with a C
Customer - because without someone to share with, it's all pretty meaningless.
My wonderful customers guide and inspire me to make new and better creations.
Colour - because nothing lifts the spirit, or any sombre grey/black/beige outfit like a cheerful contrasting bracelet. Besides, colour is my torch and guides all my work. Yes, as a designer I have tendency to colour-code and arrange by colour.
Chains - add fluidity and interest to any strand of lovely beads. The diversity of chains constantly inspires new designs. I'm always asking, what else than my old strand of pearls can be enhanced by chains?
Collecting - museum collections and illustrations has inspired this presentation.
A collector at heart, I have a fair share of stones and seashells squirreled away; at times I indulge in the happy distraction of arranging collections of found objects.
Care - for you, me, and the planet. Who made my material? How to best share my work or give back? How can my work make a difference? My guiding questions.
Shows and exhibitions
Learn about new collections and venues for finding new items for your own collection. About once a year my norwegian customers can discover new designs at private shows and gallery exhibitions.
These occasions play a crucial role in the development of new designs and collections.
Caring for jewellery
Some tips about what's smart, and not, in order to keep your arm candy or neck charm in shape and happy for a long time.
Also, some tricks to make BEADSonCHAIN with small beads snap into place when they look "wrong".
The GP customer
Grey Pearl customers are the nicest people, and I want to make working with me as easy and pleasant as possible for all. Since we're all different, Grey Pearl has three levels of involvement for its private customers.
Sometimes nature or memories thereof come together with some really nice stones and new bracelets arise. Eventually, if things fall into place, it all becomes a new collection,
Colour - the material
Chain and beads are the main components in GP jewellery. Pearls and stone beads dominate. Also crystal, freshwater pearls, Murano glass beads and cloisonné beads add colour to the collections. As do the chains; with silver, gold and black colour, either plated on brass or aluminum, or as precious metal.
I'm Tittin Rinde - a designer and I care. As a designer I care about what I'm sending out in a world already too full of things. As a person I care about what makes people happy, in life and work. As a professional I care about doing my work better and better.
