Grey Pearl studio re-design samples.
See some personal new designs based on customers own jewellery - usually outdated, broken, too heavy, wrong size or even never much used.
Based on two fussy looking amber necklaces left in a drawer. The amber beads turned into 6 bracelets, one dainty necklace and 4 matching ear rings. To make the most of the amber's natural colour variation it was enhanced with pale pearls, bright blue apatite and deep green malachite.
1+2) Tiny coral and turquoise chip-bead strings reorganized to create volume and focus. 3+4) Tiny seed pearls needed lifting and lengthening, done by small contrasting station beads to break up the pale mass of pearls. 5) One chunky fluorite necklace and one simple amethyst bracelet were combined and small spacer beads added for a lighter and more interesting design.
One long blue string of beads was too heavy and unruly in use. Turned into four new blue necklaces carefully measured to best match how the client dresses. Each one a little different in style and shade of blue and designed to be combined in multiple ways.
